What equipment do I need prior to training at The Stronghold?

We recommend to wear spandex type tops and bottoms for our No-Gi and Self-Defense classes. We will provide a loaner gi (kimono/uniform) for gi classes. Flip flops/slippers are encouraged to get on and off the mat easily. Shoes are not recommended. Please also bring a water bottle! We have a water dispenser here at the academy to refill your bottle.

What color uniforms (Gi’s) can I wear at The Stronghold?

Black, Blue or White. Please be advised that elite tournaments like IBJJF only allow these colors. We recommend that you purchase uniforms directly from our academy so we can help with the sizing process.
